Logline: “When a young woman finds out the father she idolizes is abusing the mother she’s always ignored, she has to betray him to save her.”

Poster tagline: “No-one’s as innocent as they seem.”

Tess asks an old woman in a Mexican cemetery for directions to the town where her parents have retired. It’s Night of the Dead, and her terrified mother thinks she’s about to be killed – by her husband. She can’t believe her father has turned into a monster, can’t face that she never saw the signs, but there’s no time to hesitate. She engineers a daring escape but her father chases them across the border and holds the family at gunpoint to get her mother back. When the two women realize no one else can help, they discover they are stronger than they ever imagined, and not as innocent.
